Earlier this year I was asked by KADOC, KU Leuven to be part of their upcoming exhibition: ‘Vele handen. Zorg en samenleving in heden en verleden.’ I created the portrait series, illustrating the broad spectrum of our health care system by the people representing it… both caregivers and caretakers. It is needless to say how many interesting people I have met on this assignment. I am still very happy to have been part of this project and I hope that I have captured the essence: To care for one another! Because no matter your age, gender, culture, no matter who you are, we are all in need for the right care at one point or another.
So last week I went back to the beautiful Begijnhofkerk in Sint-Truiden, Belgium to take in the vibe one more time. The Church, where the exhibition is held, is on the Unesco world heritage list. A wonderful historical site. Absolutely a must see!!! … and Free entrance ; )
